We often respond to what we are currently experiencing in a number of ways, for example, "In this season of my life", "I can't wait for this season to be over" or even "This season God has me in is..."

But, is it a Season or a Cycle?!

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a cycle is "a course or series of events or operations that recur regularly and usually lead back to the starting point." However, a season is known as "a time characterized by a particular circumstance or feature."

Oftentimes, we are not in a season but a cycle. Due to our poor choices, we keep repeating the same cycle over and over again. Yet, over time we expect different results. When we are in a season, our end will always be better than our beginning, because God promised that our latter will be greater than the former. No matter the circumstance, we have the assurance that all will be well, because God is in control.

This Thankful Thursday, I'm reminding us that the only way to STOP cycles is to make deliberate changes in our relationship with Christ. We also need to make changes in how we think, how we approach things and people, and how we do things, etc.

This is not always an easy task because it requires us to focus on ourselves and our shortcomings, to bring them in line with the mind of Christ.

We can only move from one season to the next with God's help. His grace is sufficient and His mercies are new each and every morning. Let's hold on to His promises in this NEW SEASON.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Have a Thankful Thursday reflecting on whether you are really in a Season or a Cycle!🙏🏽🤗
