We often hear people say 'this is my reality', referring to their current situation or circumstance. This is because reality is known as 'the state of things as they actually exist; what we see before us and what we know with our limited knowledge.'
As children of God, we should seek to see our lives through the lens of God and not of men.
John 8:31b-32 “If you hold to My teaching, you are really My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Though we may all experience different realities, God's Truth never changes. No matter what our circumstances may look like or what we may be going through, He has a plan for each of us.
Jeremiah 29:11-14a For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity".
Currently, the world is being faced with a pandemic and some are experiencing anxiety and fear. Those who seek God's Truth have been able to look past what is actually happening and have been able to start new businesses, create new worship experiences, develop creative communication ideas and even implement new business strategies. By looking through God's lens, we no longer focus on the natural, rather, we choose to see this pandemic as an opportunity to spend more time with family and with God.
On this Thankful Thursday, be encouraged to trust and obey God's Word for your life. For those who don't know Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord, don't delay, accept Him in your heart today and begin to experience His Truth for your life.
Have a Thankful Thursday knowing that God's Truth for your life is better than your reality.
